IDT Launches Enhanced NGS Hybridization Kit to Boost Cancer Research Efficiency.

CORALVILLE, Iowa (April 21, 2025) – Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a global leader in genomics solutions, has introduced its latest innovation, the xGen Hybridization and Wash v3 Kit. The new product is aimed at enhancing target enrichment workflows for next-generation sequencing (NGS) in cancer research, particularly where sample input is limited.

Unveiled in advance of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2025 Annual Meeting, the xGen Hybridization and Wash v3 Kit brings a user-centric approach to hybrid capture with a simplified, high-throughput process. Key advancements include the elimination of heated buffers and a reduction in hands-on time by 20 percent. The one-hour hybridization step significantly shortens the timeline from sample preparation to sequencing, allowing completion within a single workday.

This advanced solution accommodates library inputs as low as 100 ng, ensuring better performance with difficult oncology sample types such as FFPE and cfDNA. The kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with IDT’s xGen Predesigned or Custom Hyb Panels and xGen Blocking Oligos, forming a robust, automation-friendly system for researchers.

“Our R&D team has applied its deep expertise in thermodynamics to reimagine hybrid capture workflows,” stated Konstantin Fiedler, Vice President and General Manager of Gene Reading at IDT. “We’re proud to offer a unique NGS tool that supports faster, more reliable cancer research outcomes. Feedback from over 30 early access users around the globe has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Hybrid capture techniques are instrumental in detecting minimal residual disease (MRD) and supporting high-throughput oncology research. The xGen Hybridization and Wash v3 Kit’s adaptability and compatibility make it a versatile option for a wide range of research applications.

At booth 3108 during AACR 2025, IDT will showcase data from its latest poster presentations, demonstrating the kit’s effectiveness in overcoming common NGS workflow challenges. Additionally, the company will share updates on its Archer Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) assays, which provide detailed molecular insights for precision oncology studies.
